Chapter 5. Up, Up, and Away!
John shot a bolt of light from his hand. The bolt hit the smoke monster, and it staggered backwards. The creature flew into the air. John said, “if I have all these powers, maybe I can fly too!” He leapt up into the air and soared towards the monster. They fought in the air for many hours. Near the end of the fight, the smoke monster was getting the upper hand. The monster kept hitting John with smoke grenade after smoke grenade. But John hit him as hard as he could. The smoke monster disappeared, saying, “you have not seen the last of me!” John said,”I’m geting pretty good at this.”
